To put things in prespective....I've never really cared much for the Streets of Willows track, so I've never really ridden it hard, when compared to a track like Thunderhill, Pahrump, Infineon or Willow Springs which are ones that I like. But now, after the suspension service and upgrade, I had much more confidence in the bike and pushed the Suzuki hard for the 1st time at this track.
After a few rebound and compression changes, tire wear was about perfect for a liter bike on SOW's short course and the front end was literally glued to the track...even over the rough sections, like apexing Turn 7 or is it 8? This turn, which is the 1st one coming down towards the skid pad area, after completing the chicane, has a sizable bump as you're apexing the turn down the hill.
This exercise has taught me a valuable lesson on why it is so important to have your suspension components upgraded to gain increased performance and why it's so important to have them serviced more regularly, as it is my impression that the bike is now performing better than it ever has!

I arrived at Sears with high hopes of riding my monster around and having fun. Within 3 turns I knew it was going to be a long day as my bike had been worked on recently and it was all sorts of wrong. I couldn't enter a turn, I couldn't hold a line and exiting a turn was one of the scariest feats I'd ever endured on a motorcycle.
I knew I had to get the bike looked at and fortunately Dave was there at the track day. He spend a lot of time talking with me about my riding style, what I wanted from the bike and then got to work measuring and adjusting.
After 1 look at my bike - she was beginning to behave...2nd time around - I was flying. 3rd and final check up from Dr. Dave left me having a lot of safe and controlled fun with the fancy factory Ohlins suspension. It was great to finally experience Ohlins bliss!
17,000 miles and now I realize that the suspension has never worked right. You saved my day...a real honest night and day difference from beginning to end. I've never spent less money and gotten more in return, calling it a bargain is a disservice to how great a value Dave's attention really is!
Thanks again Dave!

HI Dave, Thanks for all the great work on my bike, you make an old dog have a few new tricks. Your expertise and help on the track is the best. Thank you for helping me with my riding style also. It is a real help to someone just starting out with sport riding I had one of the best days ever thanks to you.
Although trying to count lap times with a cheap helmet cam is definitely not the way to go The lap times were a little out of reality on the low side, but I know they have improved thanks your help. I think I am ready for next years racing season.

I started to pay more attention to my suspension after attending track days. I recall the very first adjustments Dave made to the bike I was riding at the time. I was shocked at what a difference it made. More importantly, the bike performed vastly better and instilled great confidence to ride faster.
Dave not only continues to tune my bike as my skills progress, he tailors the suspension to fit my riding style. He also accounts for factors such as the surface you are riding on, outdoor temperatures, and the tires used. With that said, having a well sorted suspension is important on the track as well as on the street.
I look to Dave for advice whenever I get a chance, particularly after I have made changes or the riding conditions change. His expert service is the single greatest element that contributes directly to the fun I am having on the bike and my safety!
Thank you Dave!

Every time I have been to the track and have used your expertise in setting up my motorcycle suspension I have had the BEST track day experiences. May 20th 2009 was my first time at Laguna Seca. You set up my suspension quickly and correctly and before I headed out you gave me a few pointers about the track so I would not dump my bike. The suspension set up was spot on. My motorcycle never felt squirrelly or out of control in any of the corners. I had complete confidence in my motorcycle so I was able to direct my attention into working on my riding positions and lines. This would not have been possible without your expertise and proper suspension set up
I have included photos of my tires at the end of the day which show that my suspension was set up correctly. One of the benefits I have received due to your proper suspension set up is increased life time of my tires which saves me a lot of money that I can divert to more track days.
Thanks,

Greetings, Dave. You probably don't remember me, with all of the faces at your tent last year. I am a fairly new instructor (long-time rider) with PSSR. You tuned my red RR at Thunderhill last year and I wanted to pass along how completely thrilled I was with the result. Dan Batz referred me to your address, so I hope you don't mind the fan mail. J What you did was easily worth three times what I paid for the service. The experience after tuning was nothing at all compared to that before – it was a new ride. I finally felt like my bike and I were working together. You probably hear that often, but for each rider, I'm sure it's as thrilling an experience as it was for me. I actually laughed each time I rounded T2.
Thank you, and if we meet at PIR, I'll have my street bike in your tent for tuning as well.
J Cheers,

| Dave -
Just wanted to thank you for dialing in my suspension at the Infineon 3Js day on Monday (I had the blue and white R6). It was amazing! A completely different bike altogether once you were through. Thanks to your adjustments I was able to ride harder and more comfortably than ever before. I reached a number of personal bests and even got me knee down for the first time (and second, and third, etc.). Thank you for making my bike more of a precision instrument and giving me a new toy to play with!
Thanks again,
Rich |

I first used Dave’s services when I brought in my 03 CBR600RR
to a trackday at Infineon hosted by K@TT. My bike’s suspension
had initially been adjusted by a friend who is a suspension tuning
enthusiast, but ironically, had no track experience to speak for.
The adjustments made by my friend were significantly better than what
I had previously had setup. However, upon inspection of my bike, my
weight, and my (unimpressive) laptimes, Dave made some adjustments
that reflected my riding style according to Infineon. He had also
made note that my bike’s rebound and compression should nearly
be full-in as he has tuned many, many 600RR’s. With that said,
the proper adjustments were made and I was off to the post-lunch session.
The responsiveness and predictability of my bike were amazingly improved;
braking, entering, and exiting through turns felt much more controlled
and I was able to push my abilities more than before.
Dave’s services at trackdays are essential and inexpensive!
It was by far the cheapest yet most significant “modification,” if
you will, that I have ever had done to my bike. It improved my
confidence and gave new life to my bike! Thank you, Dave!

I thought I was spoiled riding on the 208GP’s. That was until I had Dave adjust the suspension on my 01 R6.
After reading the praises of some of my friend’s, I decided that I would definitely go see him at my first trackday of the season; fortunately for me, he was there and open for business.
I was already in love with my bike and my tires; Dave made it all work together even better. He worked with me throughout the day and got the suspension dialed-in just perfectly for me and my riding style. In fact, his handy-work made my bike handle so much better, my confidence was boosted; I rode smoother and faster, and had the best trackday I’d ever had up to that point. Thank you, thank you, thank you!!!

| In the spring of 2004 I purchased a new 2004 Yamaha R1 and struggled
for a number of track days, trying to find the right suspension settings.
In fact, I was about to give up on the bike when I decided to let
Dave have a go with it. He spent some time evaluating my setup and
needs, then he made several adjustments and I hit the track. In that
one session Dave had transformed my R1 from a beast that was attempting
to kill me into a machine that promised to be a joy to ride. A few
more tweaks here and there and all was well with the world. I was
amazed and thankful, since I was just about ready to take a
loss and get rid of the bike, something my wife would have been most
unhappy about. I highly recommend Dave's work! He saved my bike --
and my marriage.

For those of us out there that aren't suspension gurus, ..... DAVE IS!!
Very simply put, ...Track or Street, Dave quite often is the difference between a great handling bike and a bad day.
The knowledge couldn't be better and the price couldn't be cheaper.
Thanx Dave

It was clear that Dave Moss knew what he was doing. My new ZX10R
was a handful, and while I have gotten pretty good at adjusting
suspension, I turned to him for advice. It took Dave all of five
minutes to test and tweak preload and damping, front and rear. Amazing
what a big difference a small change can make! Even better, I followed
his advice on modifying suspension internals and it was right on
the money. I guess it's no surprise we hired Dave for suspension
service for all Keigwins@theTrack schools. We always go after the
best!

Dave,
You've exceeded everyone's expectations. I now have customers who sign up for
track days according to when you'll be there! Please do what you can to attend
and work more often, will you?
Gratefully,

After spending the morning at Thunder Hill wollowing around the
track trying to get things dialed in I had finally got to the point
I was willing to ask for help. After spending an initial visit with
you my bike was much better. After the 1st "Hot" adjustment she
was perfect and I spent the rest of the day having the proper setup
and confidence in my suspension.
Thanks for keeping me on track!

Hey dave, my name is Art Martinez. You dialed in my suspension
(RS250) on 5/9 at t-hill, and later dialed it a little more. Well
I knocked of 5 seconds off my best, got down in the 2:19s! Didn't
stop by sunday, because I didn't need to
Thanks for the great work at a great price!

| Hey Dave!!! Its Stacy on the 600rr, you helped me out at the Buttonwillow track day last week. The adjustments that you made to my suspension made a world of difference!!! I was supprised that even I could feel a change in the bikes handeling. After a little adjusting, the bike seemed to stay better planted, especially entering and exiting the corners. You saw my tires, the improvment is very obvious!!! I really appreciate you taking the time to not only make the adjustments, but also for explaining how, when, and why I can make certain adjustments myself. |

Thanks again for your suspension work on my R6 at Buttonwillow on Sunday, 8/21/05. The adjustments gave me a whole new bike and a whole new level of confidence. My lap times decreased and I had twice as much fun. Suspension tuning is a MUST for any and all motorcycles.
See you at the track!
Sincerely,

Wow, thanks again for giving me a new bike! I could easily have spent hundreds or thousands on a new pipe or some other gimmick or cool upgrade and would not have made anywhere near the difference you made - what a bargain! Thanks especially for taking the time to totally understand my bike and my riding. As someone with a stock 750 GSXR who only visits the track once or twice a year for nothing more than a little fun, I did not consider myself to be an aggressive or sophisticated enough of a rider that suspension adjustments would make much of a difference. Wow! Was I wrong! I felt faster, better, comfortable AND in more control (safer) than I have ever felt on my bike before, which translates to a lot more fun than I have ever had at the track! You are truly a natural and a miracle worker!
