EVENTS AND SEMINARS
Are you looking for an additional new revenue stream through the slow winter months? Dave Moss is offering to provide suspension seminars to your customers at your dealership. Your cost will be a special promotional price of $40 per person, but you will obviously increase that amount to cover any advertising costs. Seminars can be held after hours inside the dealership using floor models as examples, or can be held in the morning to then be followed by a dealership ride where Dave can ride with the group and answer questions at each rest point.
The seminar is a 90 minute practical approach to understanding how suspension works, setting sag, what adjustments can be made and what the effects of those adjustments will be. By seminar's end the customer will have their bike set to their weight, have hydraulic settings optimized and possess a complete understanding of how to make compression damping adjustments to meet any riding and road conditions.
A further benefit to the dealership will be that all suspension shortcomings will be highlighted during the seminar, as will the variety of solutions that the customer can choose from. This will potentially increase the volume of service work with fork and shock services/upgrades and the installation of aftermarket replacement forks and shocks purchased via the parts department. The seminars often generate $3-5,000 in parts/service work!
To organize a seminar at your dealership, please contact Dave Moss via email: dave@crstuning.com and see our schedule page for open 2007 dates |
Keith Meyerhoff, Owner of Throttle Wear in Folsom, CA:
I have hosted two Dave Moss seminars at Throttle Wear. Both events were extremely well received by my customers. Dave’s teaching style is friendly and patient toward all motorcyclists, regardless of their background in the sport. All attendees were impressed that Dave was able to show them how their suspension works as well as set it up. Several customers commented that it was the best money they ever spent and I am constantly asked when the next seminar will be. I believe it is important to build a sense of community around a motorcycle business. The suspension seminars have been an extremely important part of this at Throttle Wear. |
Thank you for all your help with suspension tuning for our track tests.
You've made a noticeable improvement in the suspension settings on our test bikes at three different Shootouts and your expertise has been invaluable in helping us to extract the true performance potential from all of our test units.
Maximum Respect,
